MANDATORY DISCLOSURE
All AI-generated or AI-enhanced content MUST be clearly labeled and disclosed. Failure to disclose AI usage is considered misrepresentation and may result in account suspension.
What Counts as AI Content?
Fully AI-Generated Images DISCLOSURE REQUIRED
Images created entirely by AI tools such as:
- Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion
- Adobe Firefly (generative fill for entire image)
- Text-to-image generators
- Any tool that creates images from text prompts
Required Tag: "AI-Generated" must appear in keywords/tags
AI-Enhanced Photography DISCLOSURE REQUIRED
Original photographs with substantial AI modifications:
- AI-generated objects, people, or elements added to photos
- Major scene changes using generative AI
- Sky replacement using AI generation (not photo compositing)
- AI-created backgrounds or foregrounds
- Significant AI alterations changing the scene's reality
Required Tag: "AI-Enhanced" must appear in keywords/tags
Standard Photo Editing NO DISCLOSURE NEEDED
Traditional editing techniques that don't require AI disclosure:
- Color correction, brightness, contrast adjustments
- Cropping, rotating, resizing
- Sharpening, noise reduction, lens corrections
- Dodge and burn, selective color adjustments
- AI-powered object removal (clone stamp alternative)
- AI upscaling or resolution enhancement
- AI noise reduction or sharpening filters
- Automatic photo enhancement (exposure, white balance)

✓ We Accept (with proper disclosure):
- High-quality AI artwork for commercial use
- Abstract AI-generated patterns and textures
- AI-created backgrounds and landscapes
- Conceptual illustrations generated by AI
- AI-enhanced photos with creative modifications
- Hybrid work: photography + AI elements (clearly labeled)
Quality Standards for AI Content
AI-generated images must meet the same technical requirements as traditional photography:
- Minimum 4MP resolution (2000x2000px)
- No visible artifacts, distortions, or AI "tells"
- Proper anatomy and physics (no extra fingers, impossible perspectives)
- Professional composition and lighting
- High visual quality suitable for commercial use
Prohibited AI Content
✗ We Reject:
- Deepfakes: AI-generated faces of real people without consent

How to Properly Disclose AI Content
Required During Upload:
- Check the "AI-Generated Content" checkbox in the upload form
- Add appropriate tag: "AI-Generated" or "AI-Enhanced"
- In description: Mention the AI tool used (e.g., "Created with Midjourney")
- Specify extent: Note what was AI-generated vs. photographed
Example Disclosure Formats:
Fully AI-Generated:
"AI-generated image created with Midjourney v6. Digital artwork."
AI-Enhanced Photo:
"Original photograph with AI-generated sky replacement using Adobe Firefly."
Hybrid Work:
"Composite image: Original photo of Dubai skyline with AI-generated sunset and foreground elements added."

Copyright & Legal Considerations
Who Owns AI-Generated Images?
Copyright law around AI content is evolving. Current guidelines:
- You own: Rights to images you generate with AI tools (per most AI services' ToS)
- You don't own: Specific training data the AI was trained on
- Your responsibility: Ensure your AI tool has proper licensing for commercial use
- Buyer protection: MakPixel requires you warrant you have rights to license AI content
Training Data Concerns
Some AI models are trained on copyrighted works. While you can use these tools, be aware:
- Don't deliberately recreate copyrighted styles or specific artworks
- Avoid prompts that reference specific artists by name without authorization
- Don't generate images imitating trademarked characters or brands
- Use AI tools that respect copyright and provide commercial licenses
Buyer Transparency
All AI-disclosed content will display clear badges:
- 🤖 "AI-Generated" badge on thumbnail and detail page
- Detailed AI disclosure in image description
- Searchable filter for buyers to include/exclude AI content
- Full transparency about creation method
Why transparency matters: Some buyers specifically need authentic photography for editorial use, documentation, or brand authenticity. Others welcome creative AI work. Clear labeling helps everyone.
Best Practices for AI Contributors
- Quality over quantity: Submit only your best AI creations
- Unique prompts: Create original concepts, not copies of trending styles
- Post-processing: Refine AI outputs in Photoshop for professional quality
- Fix artifacts: Correct any anatomical errors or visual glitches
- Clear tagging: Use accurate, searchable keywords
- Commercial licensing: Only use AI tools that allow commercial use
- Respect copyright: Don't deliberately recreate copyrighted works
- Be honest: Always disclose AI usage completely
Policy Updates
AI technology and copyright law are rapidly evolving. This policy may be updated to reflect:
- New legal precedents regarding AI-generated content
- Changes in industry standards and best practices
- Platform-specific requirements from major AI tool providers
- Buyer preferences and market demand
Contributors will be notified of any policy changes via email.
